Jennifer Jean Puterbaugh, 41, passed away in a car accident on Monday December 19, 2016 in Big Spring, TX. She is survived by her father Command Senior Chief USN (ret.) Charles “Pops” Stancil, her mother Evangeline “Lola” Spataro, her step mom Lisa “MeeMaw” Stancil, her husband Dave Cole, her brother Marshall Stancil, and her children Maya Puterbaugh 16, Ryan Puterbaugh 15, and Charles Cole 2. She joins her brother Doug Stancil and sister Cindy Stancil in heaven. Jen was the Chief Marketing Officer for Horizon Trust Company of Las Vegas, NV, and managed to balance being a loving mom, fabulous wife, and a successful professional. Any time of day you’d find her with iPhone in hand, either tapping out a friendly message, solving some work emergency, or trying to beat one more level of the latest candy crush game. Jen’s proudest and happiest moments were with her children Maya and Ryan at The Meadows School, whether honoring an academic achievement or watching them perform in the latest school play. Her youngest son, Charlie, has just reached her definition of ‘the perfect age’ of 2, and she adored teaching, playing, cuddling, and dancing with him. Though we are all devastated by her sudden departure, we are left with the gift of her friendship, the memory of her life lived wholly and joyfully, and the wisdom she has passed to her children. In lieu of flowers, an education fund has been established by Maya’s godmother at https://www.gofundme.com/jens-maya-ryan-and-charles. Charitable contributions in her name can be made to The Meadows School, or the ThreeSquare food bank. Her wake will be at Palm Mortuary 7400 Cheyenne on Monday December 26 from 2-7pm, and Catholic services will be at St Elizabeth Ann Seton 1811 Pueblo Vista Dr on Tuesday December 27 at 3pm - please wear color (no black) in celebration of her life and the joy she brought to the world.
