Mr. Jerry Clyde Roberts, Sr., son of the late Leroy Roberts, Sr. and Lula Mae Roberts, was born May 20, 1937 in Millen, Georgia. He moved from Millen, GA, along with his family, to Savannah, GA, at an early age. Jerry went on to join the United States Air Force, where he served for 20 years. He retired at Nellis Air Force Base, Nevada in 1979.
He married Maria Josepha Garrido in 1965. Their union was blessed with four children. Mr. Roberts enjoyed fishing, gardening and electronics.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Leroy Roberts, Jr.; one sister, Veonist Jason; and one daughter, Shirley Frazier.
He leaves to cherish his memories his loving wife Maria Roberts, sons Jerry Frazier of Savannah, GA, Jerry (D’noria) Roberts of Palmdale, California, Joseph & Jayrell Roberts of Las Vegas, NV and daughters Mercedes Roberts and Sandra Roberts of Las Vegas, NV. Brother, John Henry (Willie Mae) Herrington of Levy, South Carolina and two sisters, Marie Cooper and Ida Kim Ford, both of Savannah, GA, and many more loving nieces, nephews, cousins, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He will truly be missed
by everyone he encountered.
