Jo Ann Milton

Jo Ann (Tacker) Milton was born in Teague, Texas, on January 11, 1944, to Raymond and Laura Tacker. Jo Ann grew up alongside her sisters, sharing her father’s love for the land and horses.

After graduating, Jo Ann moved to Lubbock, Texas, where she attended school and later became one of the most highly sought-after hairstylists in the area. Her career eventually took her to Las Vegas, where she worked in some of the finest boutiques along the Strip.

Jo Ann loved spending time with her family, traveling the world, and enjoying her many hobbies. She was an avid sports fan—rarely missing a tennis match—and faithfully cheered for her Dallas Cowboys, win or lose and in recent years the Las Vegas Golden Knights. She found peace in her garden, relaxation at her cabin, and joy in fishing. In her later years, what brought Jo Ann the greatest fulfillment was serving the Lord, feeding the homeless, and helping those in need through her church. Jo Ann had a true servant’s heart, always giving of herself and caring for others with grace and kindness. She lived a full and happy life surrounded by family and friends.

Jo Ann was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Milton, and her sister, Jean Terry. She is remembered in love by her children Chad Burke (wife Jenny), Kimberly Reese, Kristopher Burke, and Shawn Milton. Jo Ann was blessed with five grandchildren—Jacob Burke (wife Lauren), Daylon Reese (wife Haylee), Nicholas Burke, Shawn James Milton (wife Ryan), and Noah Milton. She also had 6 great-grandchildren: Olivia, Bryson, Braxton, Nolan, Easton, Colton, and another grandson expected in the new year. Jo Ann is also lovingly remembered by her sister Linda Emmons, her niece Julee and nephews Andy and Stephen.

A Celebration of Life will be held on December 7, 2025, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Calvary Chapel Meadow Mesa, 4370 W Cheyenne Ave, North Las Vegas, NV 89032

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to her church, Calvary Chapel Meadow Mesa, in Jo’s (Jo Ann’s) honor.
