Joe "Bae Ram" Ramsey Jones

Joe Ramsey, as he was affectionately called, was born to the late William A. Jones, Sr. and Monta Ramsey on July 28, 1943, in Pelahatchie Mississippi. He was the fourth of five children. He is preceded in death by his brothers William Jr., Curtis Sr., Michael, his sister Geraldine Jones Johnson, his wife Amy, and his special cousin Jackie Lee Watson.

He graduated from high school in Pelahatchie, Mississippi and shortly thereafter, moved to Las Vegas, Nevada. He lived with his late Uncle Harry and Aunt Dorothy and was employed by the Stardust Hotel & Casino.

Joe was later employed at the Nevada Test Site and worked there for many years. He was a long-term iron worker by trade and worked on the rebuilding of the Las Vegas Hilton and the old MGM Grand Hotel after the fires.

He loved to travel, fish, and go to Dollar Tree. He also loved to go riding around town with Cassandra, his daughter he lovingly called “Angie”.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his daughters, Cassandra and Nicole (Nikki) and son Reginald; former wife, Celestine Jones; his Special Aunt, Thelma Hughes Austin; his Special Cousin James McElroy; five grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews and a host of other family and friends.

A visitation will be held at Palm Mortuary - Downtown, located at 1325 North Main St, Las Vegas, NV 89101, on February 13, 2026, from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm.

The funeral service will take place at the same venue on February 14, 2026, from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm, followed by a committal service from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm.
