In blessed memory of our dear friend, John, on this second anniversary of his falling asleep in the Lord, we take comfort that God has placed eternity in our hearts and souls while making everything beautiful in its time. (Ecclesiastes 3:11)  May John's memory be eternal.  He was a Man For All Seasons and a friend for all time.

I married into the Deegan Family and was warmly welcomed by my brother-in-law, John Deegan, a handsome gentleman.

When Bob and I started our family, John made the long trek from Las Vegas to our home in Burbank, always bringing adorable Beatrix Potter collectibles for his niece and nephew.
 
John was a very loving man and treated my son, Randon, and me very well.  I wish we could have been a part of his life for many more years than we did.

I've known John and his brother Bob and his mother and father since 1975... Great family.. John was a very special man..Full of knowledge.. Loved his sports.. An enjoyment to spend time with.. The above picture was Mt Wilson 1986 looking for Halleys Comet.. Last year 2022 my wife and I were lucky to spend a couple hours with John in San Diego.. I will cherish that memory... He will always have a place in my heart.... Mike Kendall

I have lovely memories of my cousin John. The first was when he visited Ireland with his parents when I was 12 years old. I had never met anyone with such an incredible capacity for dates, figures and trivia. Of course, his unique gift resulted in lively banter with his father, Sean. A few years later, I visited the Deegan’s on LA. Both Bobby and John showed me great kindness on that trip, bringing me to all the sites such as Disneyland and Universal Studios. John bought me my first ever burrito and I remember that I got more on my clothes than in my mouth! With these fond memories , my family and I offer our deepest condolences to Bob, Lizzie and Robert on John’s sad  passing.

We remember Johns visit to his Irish family with fondness and though he lived
far away from us he was always part of our family. We mourn his passing may he rest in peace.

John would visit my pizzeria every day except Sunday. We shared the same birthday and a love for food. I’m sure he’s up there talking about food. Rest in peace my friend.

John was a sweet kind guy . He was always so excited about is next adventure and trips. I will miss seeing his smiling face in our office.

John Deegan was a role model of overcoming adversity with honor, dignity and integrity.  He was a loyal friend whose kindness and goodness affirms that a gentle and quiet spirit is precious to God. (1 Peter 3:4).  John was an avid lifetime reader with an encyclopedic knowledge on a wide variety of subjects.  We knew each other for over 50 years and shared wonderful times especially during his annual vacation trips to Southern California.  Memory Eternal for John as his friendship in the Lord was a bright light to one and all.  Fair winds and following seas.  May Light Eternal shine upon him now and forevermore.
