John Marriner Eccles

John Marriner Eccles, Esq., passed on to life eternal on Thursday, February 5, 2015 in Las Vegas, NV at the age of 49. John was born on December 7, 1965 to parents Robert and Sammye Eccles in Ann Arbor, MI. He served in the U.S. Army before attending college and graduating from the University of Toledo School of Law. John’s passion for law led him to work for more than 15 years since 1999 as almost exclusively a family law attorney after being accepted to the Nevada State Bar even before graduation. In addition to his work as an attorney he pursued his love of law by lecturing on family law for the Nevada Business Institute, being an adjunct professor for the criminal justice and paralegal programs at Las Vegas College, and serving as a Pro Tem Hearing Master in juvenile delinquency, abuse and neglect, and domestic violence courts. John was a loving, caring husband, father, and friend. He is survived by his wife, Melissa Eccles; his brother, Robert Eccles; his daughter, Jade Eccles; and extended family Suzanne Fritz, Patrick, and Ernest Moran. The service to celebrate John’s life will be held on Sunday, February 15 at 2:00 pm at Faith Community Lutheran Church located at 2700 S. Town Center Blvd, Las Vegas, NV 89135.
