With profound sadness, we announce the passing of John Edward Weber III, who departed this world on May 11, 2025, in Las Vegas, Nevada. John lived a full and meaningful life of 76 years, leaving behind a legacy of dedication, service, and love.
Born in China Lake, California on September 6, 1948, to John Edward Weber II and Domenica (Margaret) Weber, John was a proud graduate of Santa Clara High School, class of 1966. He established himself as a respected engineer during his distinguished career. For over 25 years, he served at VSE Corporation in Camarillo, California, where his technical expertise and problem-solving abilities earned him the admiration of colleagues and clients alike.
John and his wife Mary Joyce, whom he married in 1969, made their home in Oxnard, California for over 30 years, where they raised their family and created a lifetime of cherished memories. His greatest joy was his family. He is survived by his beloved wife of 56 years, Mary Joyce Weber; his daughters, Kriston Segura and Caroline Hoover (husband Daniel); and his son, John Edward Weber IV (wife Jennie). His legacy continues through his five grandchildren: Alexia Juneman, Samantha Segura, Nathaniel Hoover, Katarina Weber, and Zachary Hoover; and his great-grandson, Jackson Juneman, all of whom brought immense happiness to his life. John is also survived by his brother Dennis Weber (wife Penny) and sister Joan Palomares.
Those who knew John will remember his dedication to his profession, his unwavering commitment to his family, and the quiet strength he brought to all of life's challenges. A devout Catholic, his faith provided guidance and comfort throughout his life. An avid sports enthusiast, John was a passionate New York Yankees fan and a devoted follower of Notre Dame football. One of his greatest pleasures was traveling the world on cruises with his beloved wife Mary Joyce, creating memories that his family will cherish forever. At home, John could often be found in the kitchen preparing delicious meals for those he loved, or enjoying the classic sounds of 50s and 60s music that remained dear to him throughout his life. His influence will continue to be felt in the lives of everyone he touched.
A memorial service celebrating John's life will be held at Palm Cheyenne Mortuary in Las Vegas on May 16, 2025 at 10AM.
John Edward Weber III will be deeply missed, but his spirit lives on in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing him.
