Jon M. Ferretto, age 45, of Las Vegas died on Thursday, June 13, 2013. Born December 2, 1967 in Reno, he had been a Las Vegas resident for the past 30 years.Jon was afamily member of Tai Karate and manager at All Martial Arts Supplies. Jon started in the martial arts in his youth and began Tai Karate in 1983. He worked his way through the ranks and achieved his Black Belt from various Tai Instructors in the Las Vegas area. He proceeded to further his knowledge in the Martial Arts with Sensei James Smith and achieved his fifth degree black belt.Jon was devoted to martial arts and wasin the process of developing his own system to enhance Martial Arts at the time of his passing. He loved music, nature, athletics, especially skiing and was an avid fan of the San Francisco 49ers. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents Helen and Mike Cormier and paternal grandfather Reno Ferretto. Survivors include hisparents Claudia Cormier andBob Ferretto; paternal grandmother Helen Ferretto. A memorial service will be held 2pm Wednesday, June 19, 2013 at Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd.
