

A much-loved husband, father, grandfather, son and brother, Joseph G. Lowe, 82, of Las Vegas, NV, passed away peacefully at his home July 25, 2015. He was born October 15, 1932 in Boston, MA, and resided in Las Vegas, NV for the past 30 years. He proudly served in the United States Army from 1951-1973. Serving in the Korean and Vietnam wars he received many commendations and medals including Purple Hearts and Bronze Stars and received an Honorable Discharge. After his military service Joseph worked in the oil field and the casino industry at Vegas World and the Stratosphere. Joe loved to laugh and whistle, Yankee Doodle was his favorite! He was outspoken and had a big heart. He loved sweets, especially ice cream and brownies and was always a gentleman. He is survived by his wife of 18 years, Weslyn (Jo) Lowe of Las Vegas; daughter Louise Moureau of Houston, TX; daughter Stacy (Lynette) Rachel of Biloxi, MS; son Joe (Pete) Lowe, Jr. of Alexandria, LA; son Guy Lowe of Houston, TX; son Leslie Lowe of Las Vegas, NV; daughter Laura Hale of Atlanta, GA; daughter Becky Lowe of Falon, NV; step daughter Darlene Patin of Las Vegas, NV; sister Ruth McComis of San Fransisco, CA; and many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, Elmer and Edith Lowe, first wife JoAnn Lowe, sisters Eleanor, Peggy, Edith and Theresa; step son Murphy Wright of Las Vegas, NV.
