Joseph Benjamin "Bennie" Toler, known affectionately as Ben, left us on February 5, 2025, surrounded by loved ones at his family home in Las Vegas, Nevada. Born on January 8, 1964, to Francine Garrison and Virgil Toler, Ben spent his formative years in Las Vegas, sharing a special bond with his brothers and stepfather along with his late eldest brother, Ronnie Acree and late mother. His upbringing was enriched by the loving presence of his lifelong stepfather, Robert Whitaker.
In his final moments, Ben was embraced by his older brother Joel David Acree I, niece Athena Rene Acree, and nephew Chad Evan Acree, a testament to the deep bonds of family that defined his life. He also leaves behind his nephew, Joel David Acree II, niece Brianna Dee Acree, sister in-law Darlene Acree and three chihuahuas.
Ben's passions were as bold and unwavering as his Native American spirit. He was a devoted Raiders fan and loyal best friend of many. He had an endless love in the music of Ozzy Osbourne. Both filled his life with joy, bringing him excitement and inspiration every day.
A memorial service to honor Ben's life will be held on Friday, March 21, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Palm Mortuary-Northwest, located at 6701 North Jones Blvd, Las Vegas, NV 89131.
May the memories of Ben's infectious enthusiasm and warm heart bring solace and comfort to all who knew and loved him.
