That was also how Juancho Villavicencio Francisco’s family & loved ones would fondly call him over the years. But he was more than a father. He was living proof of God’s miracles & the embodiment of selfless love.
Born on August 11, 1956, to Dr. Juanito & Milagros Francisco, Ama was the 4th of 5 children. Early on, he was faced with tons of setbacks. From Juvenile Diabetes at the tender age of 5, to being told that he wouldn’t see past the age of 27, Ama took on every challenge, pushing past all the aches, pains, and complications with a warm smile and a grateful heart full of life.
Dubbed The Miracle Boy, one fateful day changed Ama’s life forever. His heart skipped a beat. Nerves, anxiety, a certain restlessness – telltale signs of a man in love.
Her name was Blesila Danan. She was a student nurse assigned to work the floor he was always admitted in. From a chance encounter came a one in a million love story. They were inseperable. Connected together in so many ways. In a way, like her name, Bless truly was a blessing for Ama. And with all the flowers & presents he would give her on special occasions, he never stopped courting her.
They were partners through everything, rarely seen apart, always hand in hand even after 38 years of marriage, two wonderful daughters, and a journey that saw them from New Jersey before settling down in Las Vegas.
When he was off the clock as an Emergency Medical Technician at Quality Medical Transport, around the household, Ama was handy with home improvement. He also loved to tinker with his cars. That curiosity and desire for improvement carried over to his family life as well.
Ama was very involved in the lives of his girls. From the candies & presents he would surprise them with, to the willingness to put together their bikes and other toys. Ama always put the feelings of Bless, Bianca, and Trina first. He was a loving and devoted Lolo to his grandchildren. He didn’t just tell them about togetherness, love, selflessness and being God-fearing. He lived it by example.
His children now have husbands and kids of their own, but there was many an occasion where they would all find their way to Ama’s house – setting the walls ringing with the voices of a tight-knit family that only grew bigger through the years.
Today one less voice can be heard through those walls as Ama joined Our Creator on March 25, 2019. However, his memories will live on in the hearts of those whose lives he touched.
Ama is survived by his wife Blesila, his children Bianca & Eduardo Maciel, and Trina & Bilson Perez, his grandchildren Dayah, Lilah, Mirielle, and Maverick, his father, Juanito Francisco, sisters Lali Suzara & Maris (+) & Greg Navarra, brothers Joel & Liezl, Johann & Pam. Brothers & sisters in law, nephews & nieces, relatives & friends, we all request your prayers for the eternal repose of his soul.
To those who would like to see him off, Vigil & Memorial Service will be held Saturday, May 4th, 2019 at 9 AM. Funeral mass followed by inurnment will be at 11 AM at the St. Thérèse Mission 881 E. Old Spanish Trail Tecopa, CA 92389
