Julia Kaye

Julia Kaye went home to the Lord on June 17, 2022. She was born May 2, 1969 in Oroville, California to Bernice and Jimmie McCauley. Julia graduated from Tokay High School in Lodi, California. She played and excelled at softball as a young girl and in high school, but her favorite sport was to play basketball.

Julia started her fashion career as a salesperson at Lerners, moving on to makeup artistry and cosmetic sales with her move to San Diego, California in 1990. She also modeled for commercial sales and professional photography. She was a deeply sensitive person with a subtle sense of humor and sweetness that drew people to her.

Julia is survived by her Moma Bernice Wilburn, sisters Teresa Davis, Shawna Grindstaff (James), Richelle Lane, brothers Gary Wilburn (Janelle), Craig Wilburn (Erika), uncle William Johnson (Christine), cousin Elizabeth Gwathney (Adam), many wonderful nieces and nephews, and her sweet kitties Billy and Bobby Kaye. She leaves her family and many friends with sad hearts and loving memories.

Julia was predeceased by her Popa Michael Wilburn, Aunt Patricia Johnson, and Grandparents Bill and Elnora Johnson.

A celebration of life will be held at a later time. Remembrances can be made to American Cancer Society or charity of choice.
