June Elizabeth Kane

June Elizabeth Ecklund Kane, 95, of Las Vegas, Nevada, formerly of Minneapolis/Edina, Minn., died peacefully on April 30, 2026. A Las Vegas resident of 45 years, she was born on June 15, 1930 to Carl Henry Ecklund and Esther A. Carlson Ecklund in Chicago, Ill.

She was a retired owner of The Pub Bar at Torrey Pines & Charleston, a past Executive Board member of the Las Vegas Food & Beverage Assn and a volunteer at the Henderson American Legion.

June was preceded in death by her husband, John Michael Kane; son, Timothy; brothers, Henry, Lawrence, Donald; sister, Helen, and granddaughter, Kara Huey. She leaves two sons, Michael III (Joan) and Jon (Michele), of Las Vegas and five grandchildren; Brian Huey (Maryann), Geoff Huey (Courtney Leone), Elizabeth Serna (Cesar), Jon Arthur Kane, Kennedi Hutcherson; and four great-grandchildren; Elise Huey, Bryce Huey, Elisia Danley, and Braden Danley. Additionally, June is survived by nieces, nephews, grand nieces and others in Minn., Nev. and Calif.

Services are scheduled for Friday, May 15th at Boulder City Veterans Memorial Chapel at 9:20 AM. A Celebration of Life for June will be held on Saturday, May 16th from 2 to 5 PM. For location, please contact the family at [email protected].
