Kathleen Beatty, 81, passed away peacefully on Monday, December 1, 2025, at her home in Las Vegas, Nevada, surrounded by her loving family. After a long battle with complications from smoking, she found rest and comfort in the presence of those closest to her.
Kathleen will be laid to rest alongside her husband and lifelong best friend, Ron Beatty, at the Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Boulder City, Nevada. Their enduring love story began in San Francisco, California, where Kathleen was born on December 28, 1943, to William and Julia Murphy. In 1962, she married Ron upon his return from boot camp with the United States Navy in San Diego, beginning a journey together that spanned decades.
She was preceded in death by her older brother, William Murphy. Kathleen’s legacy continues through her three children—Carolyn Beatty-Lozano, Matthew Beatty, and Erin Lopez—her eight grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren, all of whom carry forward her spirit of love and devotion.
Kathleen found joy in quilting, creating cherished blankets for family and friends, and crafting Baptism Quilts for Good Samaritan Lutheran Church. Her handiwork was more than fabric and thread—it was a gift of comfort, faith, and care that touched many lives.
Kathleen’s memory will forever be treasured by those who knew her, and her life will be remembered as one of love, creativity, and family devotion.
