

Kim Roy Hanley, 73, died December 25, 2025 at Mountainview Hospital, Las Vegas. He was born June 2, 1952 at Fostoria, Ohio. The son of Kenneth and Virginia Hanley. He graduated from Fostoria High School in 1970 and joined the Airforce. While stationed at McConnel Airforce Base in Wichita, Kansas he met his soulmate, Jessica.
Kim spent 8 years in the United States Airforce as an air traffic controller. He then spent the next 30 years in the Federal Aviation Administration as an air traffic controller. Kim loved flying and was a private pilot and instructor since the age of 16 when he earned his pilot license. After retiring from the FAA, Kim took his love of flying to become a drone pilot and instructor. Kim was an active member of Liberty Baptist Church, Las Vegas.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Jessica; daughter, Kimberly, and her husband, Mike McFadden; son, Christopher and his wife, Renee; grandson, Connor and his wife, Emily; granddaughter, Sydney; brother, Keith Hanley and his wife Roxanne; and his beloved dog Tank.
A viewing will be held at Palm Cheyenne Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave, Las Vegas, NV, on January 6th, 2026. From 2 to 6:00pm
There will be a church memorial at Liberty Baptist church, 6501 W. Lake Meade Blvd, Las Vegas, NV, on January 7, 2026 at 11am.
