On February 6, 1948 God released an angel to Lee Jackson and Vera Lee Rems Jackson in Houston, Texas. In Lee’s years, his mother married Lonnie Gaston, who adopted Lee and his younger brother, Wayne Gaston. The Family eventually left Houston, Texas to settle in California.
Lee attended Manual Arts High School in California, where he successfully graduated and obtained his Diploma. After graduating High School, he found employment at Farmer Johns as a butcher. In 1978, Lee was employed at Pepsi Cola bottling Company where he remained for 38 years and retired.
In 1980, Lee met the love of his life Irma Jean for 40 years. They remain married until his departure. They would raise four children Charles Jr, Tyson, Tayna, and Afra.
Lee was a laid back man with much love for everyone. He was a fun man who would often speak whatever was on his mind. It’s safe to say Lee had a great impact on everyone he encountered. Especially his (Bud-dog) Charles Wyatt who resides in Houston, Texas with his wife, Sylvia. Together we would travel to various states. Lee enjoyed barbecuing, outside activities, giving people a hard time, dancing (whatever he thought he was doing). Lee would spend much of his time in the garage with his various garage buddies; Mr. Scottie, JJ (Janiero Jones), OG (Oscar Gee), Truehill or whoever would stop by.
On November 14, 2020, Lee wanted to reaffirm his relationship with the Lord. Lee requested his brother, Charles Strickland Gaston, to baptize him. Lee also recited the sinner’s prayer. Afterwards, Lee felt he was ready to meet the Lord. Lee stated, “Now I can go to be with the Lord.”
On November 22, 2020, Lee received his wings and his life then received its period. Lee’s Legacy consist of his 40 years married with his wife Irma Gaston, father Lonnie Gaston, one sister LaShone Gaston, one sister-in-law Carol Wilson, two brother-in-laws Anthony and Charles Campbell, two sons Charles Jr and Tyson , two daughters Tayna and Afra, six grandsons Charles III, Christopher, Andre, Tyrese, Amar, Kayden, four granddaughters Ki’Raylee, Asia, A’Shalee, Ava, two granddaughter-in-laws Quortney and Shanaya. three great grandsons Kenneth Jr, Christopher Jr, Kenzoe, one great granddaughter Sa’Niyah, one Aunt Jean of Houston, Texas, one Uncle Carl Rems of Arizona, two goddaughter Breanna and Nefiterri.
