One thing about Lee he was true to himself. You had to accept him as he was. My nephew kept me grounded because I never knew what he was going to say next. I will miss him. He is now at rest. But I am so glad to know that I will see him again one day!

Work with this brother for 1978 until I retired in 2002 we talked almost daily up till his sudden departure.he will be missed dearly all the love in the world for this Man a real friend ❣️ a real friend to the end of his time Mrs. Irma stay strong. This was the last time we were  all together. I miss you so much. Whose going to keep us laughing every time we talked on the phone... daily,  you were a jokester. You loved to make people laugh and put a smile on their face. I am so grateful for the love you displayed to your nephew LaMonte Gaston. You helped him heal from the pain of not having a relationship with his father Wayne. He took your passing hard and is hurting because you were his only connection to his father. Whom he last saw  at age 7 years old. Thank you. You have always loved him and I thank you for that. Rest in Power and Peace. We Love  you so much brother and Uncle. How will I forget! My protecter  first! Dad your so much than I can explain, when I say your one in a million, my smiles and kisses  on your cheeks, to you, just being you, your last days you just wanted me and your grandkids to be stable! You said don’t worry about you, your gonna be just fine,Dad you didn’t ask if we’re gonna be ok, Yes you nagged and probably got on a few people’s nerves, but I loved you despite of your nagging, cause  of it your grandkids and I are stable, I wanted you to come by ,thank God for the elevators you could have came up as planned, You see me though! Thank you father for everything, you didn’t have to but you did generations!

I can close my eyes and reflect back on childhood memories of the two of you laughing and dancing around in the living room, and I can close my eyes and see my God Mother kiss your face as you layed resting from this life. From my earliest memories to my last, I can be nothing but grateful.  I am grateful for the love, protection, life lessons,  and all else in between. 
Although, I was young and my experiences were short lived. My mind is flooded with memories of the two of you sharing your lives with me. We had a lot of special moments we shared, and I am blessed to have had the two of you in my life as family. In my father's absence you were immobile. 
From you I learned, love, loyalty, dedication, hard work, manners, and to take care of my loved ones just as you did.  I also learned that love is not defined in words that are said( as colorful as those words may be) but the action that follows. You gave so much of yourself to please your wife, and provide for your family. God blessed us to be able to see each other before you went to rest, and while I didnt get to hear your voice the look in your eyes was more than any words could ever say. I love you too, and will forever cherish the moments that we shared.

Our family met Mr. Lee over 10 years again when we became  Neighbours and when we moved in he just walked in  to compare our houses and we have been friends every since. I remember one of the first times we met and you found out I was special! You gave me my own special name! The only name you ever called me; SIX-FINGERS! You made sure I knew I was special and you never let me forget it! You called us on our BS and you made sure to teach  us not to accept any BS! You taught us to be true to ourselves and no less! We love you and we will miss you! Aunty Irma, you are one strong woman and we thank you for sharing Uncle Lee with us! We love you! May God continue to carry you through this time! 

My Dear Friend and Neighbor Lee. I met you around 16 years ago. You were doing your usual, watching from your garage as people moved into the neighborhood. I as one of those people. I introduced myself, we spoke briefly and you encouraged me to meet your wife Irma. The rest is history.... You and Irma became my L.A. family. Holidays, birthdays, special ossasions, my borrowing cigarettes, $20, or whatever, you have included me in your family with no judgement.  Lee would even picked up his "nephews" Stoney and Buttons from Boarding for me when I went out of town. When I was hospitalized and Lee and Irma were unable to pick me up from the hospital (discharge), Lee sent one of his close friend, Mr. OGee to help me. Wow!!! I never forgot that. Thank you.

Lee has been a wonderful husband, great PaPa, great-great Papa and outstanding friend and neighbor.
I will miss your funny comments, your honesty and funny wit and your neighborhood watch!!!

 I’ve been a friend of Chuckie’s since I was in high school. As Chuckie’s friend, you and granny have been so warm and welcoming to me  over the years. I’ve even been dubbed an honorary cousin over the years haha. I sincerely cherish the time I was able to spend with you while you were here. I’ll especially miss the random pop ups at my old job McDonalds for fresh fries and whatever else I would sneak in your bag haha. You will truly be missed here, but hey! You’ve been blessed to meet the King, Grandpa! I'm so happy I was able to see you in your last months and have one last talk with you. Until we meet again.

Lee will always be a remembered as a dear friend who made me laugh and remained a good friend to my sister.  His wife will always know Lee is remembered for the man he was and the good times we had just laughing at his shenanigans.  Lee was a good spirit with a rough exterior, but a kind heart and that is what mattered.  May Lee Rest In Eternal Peace knowing the family will always miss and remember him.  Prayers to his beloved wife Erma and to the family.  I will miss Lee whenever I travel to Vegas because I always had a good time laughing and clowning around with him.  R.I.P. dear friend.

Lee worked with my husband at Pride Meat Packing Company back in 1968. They became fast friends and Lee became a part of our family as a friend/brother.  Lee traveled with us to various cities in the San Francisco Bay Area for family reunions and other family events. We lost contact with him shortly after he married Erma although the four of us had a few good times together. Lee was such a fun guy to be with and he fit right into our family life and social events such as house parties and Bid Whist & Hearts card games. After forty years of separation, I found Erma on Facebook and left a message for Lee to call me. We reunited this January before the Covid outbreak.  My husband Spencer had died ten years ago and when I shared that with Lee he was sad to hear of it.  But Lee and I picked up where we left off he would call me and reminisce about days gone by.  It hurt to see the physical condition Lee was in he had lost so much weight from when I last saw him. Lee will be cheerfully remembered in our family and missed again, Rest In Peace dear friend. 

Don’t think of Lee as gone away his journey’s just begun, life holds so many facets this earth is only one. Just think of him as resting in the sorrows and the tears, in a place of warmth and comfort where there are no days or years. Think how he must be wishing that we could know today how nothing but our sadness can really pass away. Think of Lee as living in the hearts of those he touched, for nothing loved is ever lost and he was loved so much. I love you brother I’ll see you again one day in heaven.
