Linda Sue Micheletto was born in Chicago, IL, July 6,1951, to the first of five children. She graduated from Worth, IL, Schools in 1968.
Her family moved to Berryville, AR, in 1969 where she worked as a "soda jerk" at the Berryville Drug as she would tell the story driving to work in her 1963 Corvair.
She met John Lechtenberger at the self-same drug store in 1971 where he had taken a teaching position. They dated briefly and were married on April 1, 1972, and endured the endless jokes about that date.
Linda welcomed her first baby on Dec. 2, 1973, Alicia Jean (as her grandfather's namesake--Gene) and her second child Azia Marie ("Azia Marie. What a dear child you are to me." As the family's expression of joy.) Linda often said that being a mother to young children was the most joyful part of her life. She was involved with schooling, activities, and religious training at home and at the Kingdom Hall.
The family moved to Morenci, AZ, in 1980. After the children left the home, John and Linda moved to Williams, AZ, and then to Las Vegas in 2004 and 2018, respectively.
While in Las Vegas, John and Linda have been associated with the Summerlin and Cimarron congregations.
We say goodbye with broken hearts yet with the hope that we will see our dear Linda with Jesus' commanding call, "Come on out" in the resurrection.
John 5:28-29
