

Lodovida “Vida” Manabal Ching, age 73, passed away on Good Friday, April 10, 2020 at Silver Ridge Health Care Center in Las Vegas, Nevada. She was born in Pasay City in Manila, Philippines, but has been a Las Vegas area resident for the past 44 years. Vida was a Slot Ambassador for The Las Vegas Hilton Casino for 25 years before retiring in 2015. In her spare time, she liked playing her games on her iPad, watching her favorite Filipino programs, cooking, singing, and simply enjoying life. In addition, Vida was a very religious and devout Roman Catholic always praying and reading scriptures from her prayer books. While growing up Vida developed an affinity for music and entertaining. While in her early 20’s she toured all over Asia with an all female band called the Paulette’s. When she returned from tour to the Philippines for television and movie obligations, the Paulette’s performed for the United States armed forces at Clark Air base where she met her late husband Leonard T.Q. Ching Jr. while he was stationed there. She moved to Honolulu, Hawaii in 1968 where they married and had two children, daughter Lenette and son Curtis. They moved to the mainland in 1975 and eventually settled in Las Vegas in 1976. She met her second husband Michael in 2007 at The Las Vegas Hilton and they were married in 2016. Vida is survived by her loving husband, Michael J. Antolec and their dog Diva, her son, Curtis Ching, her 5 grandchildren, Ashley, RJ, Kailah, Alexa and Jake, 2 great grandchildren, Hunter and Azaley, her sisters, Alicia Baldon Talatala and Maria Lagaya Balgos, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and many extended family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Lenette Ching, her sister, Maria and her brothers, Bernabe, Manuel, and Crisanto. She will be dearly missed by all. Her family truly appreciates all of the love and support that has been given to them during this difficult time. Please keep Vida in your hearts and in your prayers.
