Lonnie O'Neal Jr.

Lonnie O’Neal II was born January 4, 1936 in Columbus, Texas to Francis Davis and Lonnie O’Neal Sr. Lonnie is preceded in death by both his parents, his sister Doris M. Johnson, and his niece Gwendowlyn Gant.

His family moved to Victoria, Texas in 1942, there he accepted Christ at an early age. He attended F.W. Gross High School and went to Jarvis Christian College for two years, then to Texas State College. Lonnie met and married Barbra Mathis in 1958, and from that union were born Lonnie III and Wendell O’Neal.

Lonnie was enlisted in the United States Air Force from 1957-1962. He became employed, thereafter, at the Nevada test site, EG&G INC.,(government contractors) Nuclear testing experiment and stayed there from July 1962 to October 1993. He met and married Geneva Tillman in 1963, and to that union Michael O’Neal was born.

He leaves to cherish his memory: his wife of 50 years, Geneva O’Neal of Las Vegas, NV, and 4 sons: Michael O’Neal of Las Vegas, NV, Lonnie O’Neal III (Diane) of Houston, Texas, Wendell O’Neal (Gwen) of Dallas, Texas, and Arthur Tillman (Pam) of Las Vegas, NV one daughter Alice Armstead (Paul) of Las Vegas, NV, and one beloved uncle Carie Jr. (Bobo) of Victoria, Texas, along with 15 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, and other relatives.
