

Mr. Louis John Geno Sr. “Louie“, at age 53 of Utica, passed away on Sunday, January 09, 2011, at Mountain View Hospital. He was accompanied by his sons; Louis John Jr. and Michael Vincent and his grandson, Roy by his side at the time of his passing. He’s been a resident of Nevada since 1999. Louie was born in Rome, New York on April 17, 1957. Louie is the son of late Louis Fred and Virginia Ellen (Elacuqa) Geno. He is the oldest of 3 children. Growing up Louie helped raise his brother, Michael Angelo Geno and his sister, Teresa Geno LaDue. Shortly after he graduated from high school he joined the Navy and became an ABH-1 Petty Officer. During his military service of 22 years in the Navy he met his hunney, Mariana Faye Libajan and asked for her hand in marriage. August 2, 1980 they started their lives as husband and wife. Since then they’ve shared their birthdays for 31 years. For they were both born on April 17th.
Louie always had his door open to those who was in need. He had a heart of gold that just kept on giving. He was very traditional in raising and instilling strong family values. Louie loved to stay active and was always on the go. He loved playing sports. In his early days he was a boxer. He was strong mentally and physically. The word “can’t” wasn’t in his vocabulary. Louie was survived by his loving wife Mariana, his two beautiful daughters, Anna Marie, Angie “his little girl”, his two strong and handsome sons, Louie John “J-Bird”, Michael Vincent “Mikey V”, his seven grandchildren; Alec Mo, Lil’ Roy, Derek, Nikolas, Noah, Victoria and Gina, his brother, Michael Geno, his sister-in-law, Linda Geno, his sister, Teresa Geno LaDue, his other brother Louie Vilardi, his nephews; Sean, Michael, Bryan, Ronnie, his best of friends that he loved as brothers; Sammy Altieri, Michael Basil, Robert Sueter and his dogs; Bruno, Yogi and Rocco. We will miss him very much and will forever be loved. Services will be held Friday 6PM January 14, 2011 at Palm Mortuary 7400 West Cheyenne.
