Louis O. Russo, 81, of Las Vegas, passed away Saturday, July 14, 2012. He was born July 1, 1931, in Brooklyn, N.Y. Louis served in the Korean War as a sergeant first class and tank commander. He was honorably discharged in 1953. He worked for the Long Island Lighting Company as an electrician for 37 years and retired to Nevada in 1992. Louis was preceded in death by his mother and father, Rose and Ciriaco Russo; first wife, Grace Teresa O'Neill, mother of his four children. He is survived by his wife, Eileen; brother, Anthony (Kathryn, nephew, Anthony); and children, Patricia (George, granddaughter, Camille), Jeffrey (Sandi, grandsons, Louis and Vincent), Donna (Larry, granddaughters, Nicole and Lauren (Cory, great-grandson, Brady); and Tracy (Michael, granddaughter, Alexa and grandson, Cameron). He was a loving husband and wonderful father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Memorial services will be at 1 p.m., Sunday, July 29, at Palm Mortuary, 6701 W. Jones Blvd.
