It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Madelon (Sullivan) Smith on November 21, 2024 at her home in Henderson, NV. She was born August 14, 1940 in Hurricane, UT to Rae Sullivan (Reber) and Carlyle Sullivan. The family moved to Henderson, NV in 1942, where she lived, raised her family, laughed, loved, and danced until her passing.
As a mother, Madelon was a fiery force—unwavering in her love, devotion, and fierce protectiveness. Her
children grew up with the steadfast knowledge that they were loved beyond measure. Her children and
grandchildren were her greatest joy, and she poured all her love and energy into making every moment with
them unforgettable.
To those who knew her best, Madelon was a vibrant and stubborn personality. Her laugh, sharp wit, and colorful presence made her the life of any gathering. She was extremely loyal to her family and friends and would go above and beyond, often putting others’ needs before her own. Her selflessness knew no bounds, and she would always be there with a helping hand, a word of encouragement, or a well-timed joke to lift your spirits. Her love and light will forever remain with us, and we are thankful for every moment shared with her. We will forever carry her legacy of love, laughter, and strong devotion.
She is survived by her three children, Michael (Ramiro), Kenny (Lauren), and Heather (Eric). Her two
granddaughters, Randi (Daryl) and Sydney (Katelyn). Brothers Paul, Terry, and Greg and sister Alice. Preceded in death by her mother, father, brothers Larry, and Steve. There will be a Life Celebration on February 8, 2025. Please contact the family for more details.
Rest in peace, Mom/GMa. You were one of a kind, and we are so blessed to have been part of your life. Your legacy of love, sass, and joy will live on in all of us.
