Marge was married to her loving husband Ed just shy of 60 years and they were a model couple to everyone. They were devoted to each other and worked hard at raising four children and providing for their health and education. Everyone could watch and learn from them as they travel through life.
Marge was quite the chef in her younger days and made such favorites as stuffed cabbage, stuffed peppers, perogis, spaghetti and cabbage and noodles. One of her favorite meals was Machunka that is Slovak for gravy and bread. We would be remiss if we did not mention that she was also a very good baker. Cookies, potica, and bread were commonplace in her home. In addition, Marge really enjoyed going out to eat. Some of her favorite foods were shrimp, fillet mignon and Chinese cuisine.
When she was not baking and cooking for her family, Marge had a number of other talents and interests; she had an artistic side. In her younger days back in Ohio, Marge loved gardening, especially roses; her favorites were red. As she got older, Marge loved spending time crocheting afghans and knitting scarfs for her family and friends. In addition, Marge had a knack for putting difficult puzzles together. Sometimes her family would hear her at the table saying, “This is the worse puzzle ever!” In a few minutes a declaration came, “I’m finished!”
Marge loved to travel. She traveled all around the country just visiting her children. Her dream vacation was to go to Hawaii that she and her husband did for their 50th wedding anniversary in 1997. They loved it. One of her fondest experiences came after much cajoling, when she took a helicopter ride on the Big Island and flew over the flowing lava from the volcano!
Marge’s greatest legacy is her loving family. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward B. Zupancic, and her parents. Marge is survived by her daughter, Janice Feldhouse (Joseph); sons, Gerald (Jean), Allan (Sandy), Bruce (Heidi); nine grandchildren: Michael, Tina, Lisa, Eric, Amy, Carin, John, Vanessa & Amanda; and six great grandchildren: Jordan, Dylan, Trevor, Nathan, MacKenzie & Ricky.
