

Maria De Jesus Orozco De Avina was the daughter of Jose Orozco and Maria Garcia. Maria De Jesus grew up in Tecalitlan Jalisco, Mexico. Maria De Jesus was raised with eight siblings. She had five brothers, Joel, Roberto, Jose Luis, Jorge, Felipe and three sisters, Ema, Anahi and Marisol. She was curious about the world around her and was often eager to explore it. In her spare time she liked to sing. However, to Maria De Jesus, the most fun to be had was simply playing and spending time with her friends. Always considered a good friend to those she knew, Maria De Jesus enjoyed a broad group of acquaintances and several very close friends during her lifetime. While growing up, her best friend was her sister, Ema Orozco. On May 18, 1975 Maria De Jesus exchanged wedding vows with Ruben Avina-Cazares at Sagrado Corazon de Jesus Church of Atacheo Michoacan, Mexico. Empathic and loyal, Maria De Jesus was committed to making her new family happy. Maria De Jesus worked hard to be a good mother to her children and she did her best to fulfill their needs. She was blessed with four children, one son, Ruben and three daughters, Marisela, Ana and Bertha. Another blessing for Maria De Jesus was the gift of ten grandchildren, Joshua, Santiago, Oscar, Nathan, Izaiah, Angel, Jonathan, Julian, Alani and Nathalia. Maria De Jesus passed away on December 6, 2012 at Summerlin Hospital in Las Vegas, Nevada. She fought as long as she could against liver disease. She is survived by her husband Ruben, her children Ruben, Marisela, Ana, Bertha and her grandchildren. Services were held at St. Christopher Catholic Church. Maria De Jesus was laid to rest in Palm Mortuary - Downtown in Las Vegas, Nevada. Arrangements under the direction of Palm Downtown Mortuary, Las Vegas, NV.
