

Beloved mother, grandmother and sister, Marjean Ferguson, 88, passed away Oct. 25, 2011. She was born April 26, 1923, in Liberty, Idaho, to Tim and Ethel Matthews. She spent her growing up years in Idaho, where her father and his two brothers owned a large sheep ranch. As a young woman, she moved to Salt Lake City, where she attended LDS business college, married and had three children. She married her second husband in California and moved to Las Vegas. She has resided here for 42 years. Because of her sweet spirit, great sense of humor (with a touch of mischievousness), friendliness and love of people, she made many treasured friends over the years. She truly enjoyed being a member of the Corvette Club with Maurice, traveling, car shows and all activities. She loved attending the LDS Church, serving in different capacities, making friends and attending activities. She loved parties. She was preceded in death by her husband Maurice Ferguson; parents; sisters, Doris and Lamoyne; and brother, Ray. Marjean is survived by her three children, Sherrie (John) Coletti, Brent (Julie) Olson and Paula (Robert) Barton; eight grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchildren on the way; brother, Lloyd J. Matthews; and sister, Joyce Jacobsen. Visitation will be from 11 a.m.-noon Saturday, Oct. 29, with services following, both at Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St. Burial following at Palm Memorial Park.
