

Mary Kistler passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 9, 2024 at the Avenir Memory Center in Las Vegas, Nevada. She was born July 19,1926 in Warren, Ohio, the daughter of the late John Sotak and Mary Sotak.
Mary retired from Trumbull Lamp in Warren, Ohio. She enjoyed watching the Cleveland Indians, Cleveland Browns and Ohio State Buckeyes, baking, playing cards, bowling and spending time with her children and grandchildren.
She is survived by her children, Gerald (Kathy) of Howland, David (Lorrie) of Las Vegas, and Sharin Marcu (Gary) of Las Vegas; 6 grandchildren, Joseph Kistler (Jill), Nicole Bello (Tim), Lindsey Kistler, Brian (April) and Christopher Marcu (Jodie), and Jennifer Smith (Shawn); 9 great grandchildren, Cole Kistler, Brianna Marcu, Brooklyn and Natalie Smith, Kaisley Marcu, Parker Ongman, Gianna and Mila Bello, and Kamden Kistler.
Mary was married to the love of her life, the late Vernon Kistler for 64 years. She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Andrew, George, Joseph, and John Jr., sisters Ann, Margaret, and Helen; and grandsons Timothy and Chad Kistler.
Family and friends may call from 5 to 7 pm Thursday, June 20 at Palm Mortuary Cheyenne. A service will be at 12 noon on Friday, June 21 at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church with burial at 2 pm at Bunker’s Memory Garden.
The family would like to thank the caregivers at Avenir Memory Care Center for their loving care and support. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Mary’s name to Cleveland Clinic Lou Ruvo Center for Brain Health.
A visitation for Mary will be held Thursday, June 20, 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Palm Mortuary - Cheyenne, 7400 West Cheyenne Avenue, Las Vegas, NV 89129. A funeral service will occur Friday, June 21, 2024 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, 1811 Pueblo Vista Dr, Las Vegas, NV 89128. A committal service will occur Friday, June 21, 2024 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Bunkers Memory Gardens, 7251 W Lone Mountain Rd, Las Vegas, NV 89129.
