Marylee Ray Watson, of Las Vegas, Nevada passed away in her home on July 9, 2017. Marylee was born in Little Rock, Arkansas. She is the sister to one of the Little Rock Nine. Marylee was first married to Walter Parker of Dothan, Alabama, whom she met during her student years at Tuskegee Institute. Later after moving back to Little Rock Arkansas to care for her aging father and mother, she married Monroe Watson. Mrs. Watson was a vocational educator with degrees from both Tuskegee and the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville. She was a good teacher, loved by both students and her colleagues. So much so that before her retirement from Little Rock to Las Vegas, she received the teacher of the year award. Marylee Ray Watson is preceded in death by both husbands, her father, her mother and brother. She is survived by her sister, Gloria Ray Karlmark of Stockholm, Sweden, who wishes to extend sincere thanks to Brenda and Jim Hubbard, Brenda and Zellecka Allen, Veronica Edwards, Marylee’s neighbors and all who have been a comfort to her.
