

Matthew Francis Touma, 16 of Las Vegas passed away on March 29, 2018. Matthew was born on July 26, 2001 in Las Vegas to his parents, Katherine Reynolds Touma and Robert Francis Touma. He was a junior at Centennial High School. He was a member of the Men’s Varsity Swim Team at Centennial High School and played Wide Receiver for the Centennial Bulldogs Football Team. Matthew was a member of the National Honor Society and DECA. He received the Centennial Academic Award/Letter in 2017. Matthew was involved in Boy Scouts, starting in Cub Scouts in 2007. He earned the rank of Eagle Scout October 2017 after completing his Eagle Project of repainting the Dinosaur floor at the Natural History Museum. He was a member of St Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, and was involved in Youth Ministry at both Saint Anthony and Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton including as a Vacation Bible School Leader from 6th grade on.
His parents, Katherine Reynolds Touma and Robert Francis Touma of Las Vegas; his brother Nicholas Robert Touma of Las Vegas; his aunt and uncle, Patricia and Pete Nichols and his cousin, Julie Nichols King of Dayton, Ohio, survive Matthew. In lieu of flowers the family would appreciate donations to be made to the Las Vegas Area Council Boy Scouts of America at 7220 Paradise Road, Las Vegas 89119 in honor of Matthew Francis Touma. A graveside service is scheduled for Friday April 13 at 10:00 a.m. at Palm Mortuary at 6701 N. Jones Blvd. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, April 21st from 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints” located at 10070 W Azure; Las Vegas, NV 89149.
