

Michael Schaller Kozloff, 74, of Las Vegas passed away peacefully on June 29, 2016 . He was with his family, who remember him as a generous, loving and gentle man with a playful sense of humor. Born on January 15, 1942, in Reading, Pennsylvania, he moved to Las Vegas in 1951 where he was graduated from Las Vegas High School in 1960. He began his career in the gaming industry in Suriname, South America before returning to Las Vegas in the early 1970's where he worked at the original MGM, Bally's and New York New York. He enjoyed spending time with his partner Lynda Tanaka. Together, they enjoyed being with their families, travel, long walks, hiking to the peak of Mount Charleston, listening to country music, and trips to the dog park with his beloved four legged companions. He is survived by his daughter Sarah Phillips (John) of New Jersey, son Kevin of Las Vegas, grandchildren Keyan, Shay, William and Peter; brothers Stephen (Jessica) of Rio Verde, AZ, Kenneth (Linda) of Springfield, VA and sister Ali Hunziker (Dan) of Ames, IA, as well as many nieces and nephews who loved to be with him. He was preceded in death by his parents William Kozloff and Maxine Kozloff Briner and a brother, Louis. Services will be held on Saturday, July 2nd at 11am at the Palm Mortuary and Cemetery 6701 North Jones Blvd. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the American Cancer Society, Hospice, or a charity of your choice.
