Michael Lee passed away on December 12, 2025, after his battle with Lou Gehrig’s Disease at the age of 58. Michael was born on December 7, 1967, in Los Angeles, California, to Loyd E. Lee and Catherine C. Lee. He was an only child but had many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Michael graduated from Pacific Palisades High School, during which time he was awarded “The most talented student” in his senior class. He was a multi-talented individual who combined technical skills with true artistry. He excelled as a great gymnast, singer, dancer, songwriter, and DJ. After graduating from high school, he attended Santa Monica City College for two years.
He moved to Las Vegas in 1991 after auditioning for a role in Folies Bergere, thus becoming a part of that show at the Tropicana. He continued his showbiz career in Las Vegas for a considerable number of years, until sustaining an injury while performing an acrobatic act in “Storm” at Mandalay Bay. His Orthopedist said he had to give up dancing. He then went to bartending school and became a bartender. He was employed as a bartender for 12 years before having to quit when his ALS symptoms started.
It was widely known that Michael had a remarkable personality that drew people to him. This was because he was honest, kind, loyal, respectful, and just an all-around awesome and delightful individual. He was preceded in death by his father, Lloyd Lee, and leaves behind a devoted mother, Catherine Lee, and a host of family and friends who all loved him beyond measure.
Gone way too soon, Michael leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, kindness, and many unforgettable moments. Memorial donations may be made to ALS of Nevada.
