Norma V. Hall

Norma V. Hall ~ Beloved Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, and Friend. Born August 25, 1923 in Alpine, NY. Passed away peacefully on April 24, 2015. She was 91 years old. Norma was a successful Farm Family Insurance agent from 1955 to 1986. She was a leading female multi-line insurance agent, a qualifying member of the Million Dollar Round Table three times, received the prestigious Green Jacket senior agent award, a district agent, and was inducted, the only woman to date, into the Senior Agents Hall of Fame. Norma demonstrated activism all her life through the many organizations she belonged to and believed in. She was a Zonta International Business Women’s Club member from 1966 to 2008. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Watkins Glen, NY from 1961 to 2015, and an elder of the church. She volunteered countless hours of service to her community, the hospital, her church, and RSVP. She was an American Red Cross Blood Donor Hero. Norma is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Larry and Judy Hall of Owensboro, KY; her brother and sister-in-law, Kenneth and Patricia VanLone of Dundee, NY; nine grandchildren, and fourteen great-grandchildren. She is predeceased by her daughter, Laura H. Jones; her sister, Thelma V. Dolan; and her brother, Lon VanLone. Norma will be honored in a private ceremony on May 22, 2015 at Palm Northwest Cemetery, Las Vegas, NV, where she will be laid to rest next to her daughter.
