

Norman Harold Hoadley, age 82, of Las Vegas, Nevada passed away on Sunday, October 13, 2024. Norm was born on May 10, 1942, in Idaho Falls, Idaho to parents James and Violet Hoadley. He frequently worked on the ranch growing up and was best at breaking horses. His summers growing up were spent working on his Aunt and Uncle’s ranch in Montana. At 17 he joined the Marine Corps with his older brother Ernie. He deployed to Okinawa and collected many stories before the Marines brought him to Las Vegas.
After serving his country he became a driver for armored car. It was in Las Vegas that Norm met the woman he shared his life with; Celia. Norm and Celia married on November 27, 1964. Norm went on to own Hoadley Trucking as an owner operator before transitioning to driving truck and becoming a truck boss for Las Vegas Paving. He retired after 28 years at Las Vegas Paving as a member of Teamsters Local 631.
Norm will be remembered by his family as a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He was a good friend to many and a generous provider to those he loved. Norm was known as many things (depending on how you knew him); No filter Norm, Mr. Blue Eyes, a Hornet, a Straight Shooter or just an all-around bad ass. He was a great storyteller and often inappropriately funny.
Norm is survived by his loving wife, whom he would have celebrated 60 years of marriage with this November, Celia Hoadley. His children, Todd (Jackie) Hoadley and Debra (Tony) Grimaldi; grandchildren, Rachel Grimaldi, Megan (Samuel) Hobbs, Travis Hoadley, Jake Hoadley and Griffin Grimaldi; great grandchild, Samuel Hobbs; and his sister Ruby (Richard) Walters.
A visitation for Norman will be held Friday, November 8, 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Palm Mortuary - Northwest, 6701 North Jones Blvd, Las Vegas, NV 89131. A memorial service will occur Friday, November 8, 2024 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM, 6701 North Jones Blvd, Las Vegas, NV 89131. A graveside service will occur Friday, November 8, 2024 from 1:00 PM to 1:30 PM at Palm Northwest Mortuary & Cemetery, 6701 N Jones Blvd, Las Vegas, NV 89131.
