Olga Jean Flores, age 68, passed away surrounded by her loving children and grandchildren on October 9, 2025.
Born on June 2, 1957, in Deming, New Mexico, Olga was the daughter of the late Alvita S. Trujillo- Flores and Eleazar “Charlie” Flores. She grew up in Las Cruces, where she enjoyed a joyful and active childhood - riding her bike through town and starting her first job at just 12 years old at the Spanish Kitchen.
Olga raised her four children in the countryside of Doña Ana, New Mexico, where they shared a life filled with nature, adventure, and strong family ties. Their home sat beside her parents’ house on what the family lovingly called “Flores Road.”
She is survived by her four children: Arturo “Tido” Elvins, Jodi Joseph Elvins and his partner Tiffany Anaya, Celeste Valerie Martinez and her husband Gilbert Reyes, and Nicki Jean Flores and her husband Bryan Crosby.
Olga was a proud grandmother to Angelique Jean Gil, Jazel Anella Martinez, Genevieve Crosby, and Stella Jean Elvins - each of whom brought her great joy.
She is also survived by her two sisters, Yolanda M. Flores- Hopkins her husband Glenn W. Hopkins, and Viola M. Flores- Franco and her husband Enrique (Rick) Franco, who shared a lifetime of memories with her. She was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Alvita and Eleazar “Charlie” Flores, who now welcome her home in heaven.
Olga worked hard throughout her life and took pride in everything she did. After many years in the service industry, she graduated from the Correctional Academy in Santa Fe, New Mexico - one of her proudest accomplishments. She went on to work in correctional facilities, group homes, and the federal building, serving others with strength and dedication.
In 2010, Olga moved to Las Vegas, Nevada, to be closer to her son Tido. She was later joined by her daughter Celeste and her granddaughters, continuing the close family bond that meant everything to her.
Olga will be remembered for her love, protective spirit, signature sunglasses, long curly hair, and unforgettable green eyes. She loved frogs, painting in the vibrant colors of New Mexico, and creating art that reflected her strong roots.
Her life was one of strength, love, and resilience. Surrounded by her children and grandchildren in her final moments, Olga left this world just as she lived - deeply loved and full of strength.
Please keep Olga and her family in your prayers as she returns home to our Lord Jesus Christ. May she rest in eternal peace, reunited with her parents and wrapped in God’s everlasting light and love.
