Orlando Castillo Buan

• He attained a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting at the University of the East in Recto, Manila. During his college time, he served as a Special Rank Cadet for two years. He graduated college with honors. He was in the top 2 of accounts that took the CPA exam. That being said, he became a CPA automatically in some states of the USA. His family was very proud of his achievement.

• As a junior accountant working in Boie & Watson Incorporated, he was sent to travel to the United States, Japan, and some other countries to help expand and thereby improve the business sales.

• Orlando married the late Herminia Cruz Buan. Unfortunately, there were no children in this union. In 1971, they decided to move to Los Angeles, California. Life was going smoothly as they expected. However, in 1988, his wife died in a car accident. It broke his heart and he realized that he needed a fresh start and then relocated to Las Vegas, Nevada.

• After living in Las Vegas for less than a year, he met Arma Gutierrez, who he then proposed to and married. Arma has two children from the first marriage. Danna and Derick moved with their mother and Orlando; and, they live together as one family.

• Orlando worked as a Controller. He prepared income taxes for friends and relatives. At the age of 60, he retired. Orlando loved to spend time in the casinos, playing poker. For sports, he loved watching basketball, baseball, football, and many more. Of course, he adored the Los Angeles Lakers and Golden State Warriors.

On July 12th, 2023, he had an accident at the Palms Casino parking lot. Thursday, July 13th at 9:47pm, he joined his Creator. His wife, Arma, niece and nephew (Rowena and Jojo) were with him as he took his last breath.
