

Patricia Ann Whittle was known as many things to many people. She was a loved one, a friend, and someone special. To family and friends who knew her best, Patricia will be remembered as a very exceptional person.
Patricia was born on August 23, 1942 at home, "on the kitchen table", in San Bernardino, California. She was the daughter of William Floyd and Marie Chambers. Patricia grew up in Las Vegas, Nevada.
She had an older sister, Sharron. Patricia was usually involved in all sorts of activities with her sister. As a young girl, Patricia had a number of interests. Like most children, she enjoyed playing and making up games. She was curious about the world around her and was often eager to explore it. In her spare time she liked bike riding, jump roping, climbing trees and playing games. However, to Patricia, the most fun to be had was simply playing and spending time with her friends.
A typical teenager, Patricia had a fairly happy high school experience, making that critical transition from adolescence to adulthood. She enjoyed some classes more than others, having favorite subjects and teachers.
Always considered a “good” friend to those she knew, Patricia enjoyed a broad group of acquaintances and several very close friends during her lifetime. While growing up, some of her best friends were Deanna Dean, Judy Dean, Alberta Thorne. Later in life, she became friends with Ina Wagner, Lorraine Bailey, Tanya Larsen.
Patricia worked hard to be a good mother to her children and she did her best to fulfill their needs. Patricia was blessed with six children, two daughters, Kathryn and Lisa and four sons, Jeffrey, Gregory, Steven and Todd. Another blessing for Patricia was the gift of fourteen grandchildren and one great-grandchild, Michael, Gregory, David, Kristin, Ashley, Danielle, Heather, Kylee, Chelbie, Bryce, Aubrey, Ethan, Emilia, Alex, Riley.
Fortunately, Patricia enjoyed what she did for a living. Showing a strong work ethic, Patricia worked diligently and did her best to succeed in her career. Her primary occupation was Mother and homemaker. Patricia always sought to be a team player, doing what was necessary in order to get the job done.
Patricia enjoyed her leisure time by taking part in various hobbies. Her favorite pursuits were video gamer and board games. She was content to enjoy her favorite pastimes alone but was also willing to share her interests with others.
Patricia’s faith was important to her. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. During that time, she participated, and at times, was called to leadership positions in the Relief Society, Young Women's and Primary Organizations.
Patricia enjoyed traveling and time away on vacations. It was a chance for her to renew and relax, to visit new places and experience new things. Favorite vacations included going to California to the beach and Disneyland.
Patricia passed away on February 3, 2012 at home. She is survived by her children Kathryn, Jeffrey, Gregory, Steven, Lisa, her sister, Sharron, 14 grandhildren and 1 great-grandchild. Services were held at the Tule Springs Stake Center. Patricia was laid to rest in Palm Mortuary Nortwest Cemetery.
Simply stated, Patricia was a good and kind person, an individual who will for all time be remembered by her family and friends as being a caring and giving person, someone who was a vital part of their lives. Patricia leaves behind her a legacy of life-long friendships and many cherished memories. Everyone whose life she touched will always remember Patricia Ann Whittle.
