Peter J. Shevlin

Peter J. Shevlin, CLU, ChFC, age 68, of Las Vegas, passed away on Saturday, February 28, 2015. Born in Rochester, New York, he had been a Las Vegas resident for over 30 years. Pete worked as a financial advisor for many years. He served in the US Air Force, reaching the rank of Sergeant. He was a member of Kiwanis and LeTip International. A classic car enthusiast, he was a member of the Las Vegas Corvette Club. He loved helping others. He loved the beach, traveling to Southern California in his RV and the LA Dodgers. Survivors include his children: Stephanie Brown, Matt Shevlin and Jennifer (Chris) Ecklund; grandchildren: Ashley, Alyson, Mackenzie and Jackson; sisters: Christine Renkenberger, Barbara Shannon. Funeral service will be held 2:00 pm Saturday, March 7, 2015 at Grace in the Desert Episcopal Church, 2004 Spring Gate Lane, Las Vegas, 89134. Family will receive friends from 4-7pm Friday, March 6, 2015 at Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd. Private interment, Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
