Rhonda Monique Wesson Lijadu was born on April 12, 1983 in Las Vegas, Nevada to Brenda Davis and Gregory Wesson. She received her education from the Clark County School District, and was a proud graduate of Rancho High School in the Class of 2001. Following high school, Rhonda began her collegiate studies at the University of Nevada Las Vegas and began her career immediately upon graduating from there in 2005.
Over the past 17 years Rhonda worked as a dedicated nurse operating in various capacities including bedside care, home health care, hospital administration, and college instruction. Rhonda had a thirst for knowledge and was considered a “forever student” by those around her. She was always prepared to learn, teach, diagnose, and provide the highest level of care to those in need. At the time of her passing Rhonda was continuing her education in order to become a nurse practitioner. While growing in her own career, Rhonda also found time to mentor young women entering the profession. While Rhonda was passionate about treating her patients, most diagnoses were seemingly given to her friends and family who she both graciously and sarcastically consulted on a regular basis.
When Rhonda was not providing care for others you could find her traveling, shopping, indulging in the finest restaurants, attending a concert, comedy show, or simply spending quality time with her loved ones. Rhonda had an incredible ear for music and a beautiful voice to match, she was a voracious reader, and a phenomenal cook. Rhonda was adventurous and took pride in living her best life, she encouraged those around her to do the same.
On November 1, 2020 Rhonda took on her most important role as a wife to Oladayo Lijadu and bonus mother to Nasir, and Temidayo. This new chapter of her life expanded her creativity, homemaking skills and brought her a great deal of joy.
Rhonda is survived by her husband Oladayo, and children Nasir and Temidayo Lijadu. She will be especially missed by her Mother Brenda Davis, Parents Gregory and Cynthia Wesson, Siblings: Myron, Cara, Ayana, Camille and Antonio. She was a doting, and fabulous aunt to Milan, Tarrance, Mason and Skye who will miss her tremendously. Her partners in adventure, her cousin Donnette Harding and best friend Zavia Norman will continue to keep her in their hearts as they carry on. Rhonda leaves to cherish her memory, a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and colleagues who all loved her dearly.
