

He has been a resident of Las Vegas since October, 1992 moving here from Northern California, where he resided in San Francisco, Hayward and Sacramento, retiring from Grinnell Corporation after thirty two years of loyal service, serving in various capacities.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents Victor and Irene Girard of Pawtucket, RI, brother, Norman (Danny) Girard of Pawtucket, RI, sisters, Reina Parisi of Rehoboth, MA, and Dorice Bruno of Las Vegas, NV. And nephew, Stephen M. Parisi of Coventry, RI.
Survived by four nephews, Richard (Lora) Parisi of Ellenton, FL, Dr. Frank (Hopemary) Bruno of Las Vegas, NV, Robert Parisi of Providence, RI and Kenneth (Anne) Parisi of Rehoboth, MA. Four nieces, Linda (JJ) Finkelstein of Bethesda, MD, Jacqueline Richards of Las Vegas, NV, Christine (Richard) Moses of North Dartmouth, MA and Reina (Paul) Burman of East Greenwich, RI. Ten great nieces, five great nephews, five great-grand nephews and two great-grand nieces.
A graduate of Saint Raphael Academy in Pawtucket, RI, class of 54, he attended Providence College and San Francisco State University.
Bob has been a member of the Knights of Columbus (3rd degree), Mother Seaton Council since 1996 and a member of COS (Champions of Organ Sharing) since 1994 and served on the Board of Directors and as Treasurer of the organization from 1995 to June 2005.
He received an organ transplant at UCLA Medical Center in 1993 and had been an active volunteer for the Nevada Donor Network. Additionally, Bob was the original volunteer at Southern Hills Hospital and Medical Center, volunteering before the hospital opened its doors in March, 2004.
Memorial mass will be held on Saturday, January 20, 2024, 10:30AM at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 5830 Mesa Park Drive, Las Vegas, NV 89135. A luncheon will follow mass at Giuseppe's Bar & Grille Las Vegas, 6065 S Durango Dr, Las Vegas, NV 89113, beginning at 12:00pm.
