Robert Wesley Wheeler, 70, of Las Vegas, passed away Wednesday, May 9, 2012. He was born Nov. 19, 1941, in Henryetta, Okla., and was a 45-year resident of Nevada. Robert served in the U.S. Army and was a retired casino executive. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Margaret Wheeler. Robert is survived by his wife, of 40 years, Sandra Wheeler; brother, James "Pat" (Sadako) Wheeler; and niece, Janet Wheeler, all of Las Vegas. Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday, May 14, at Palm Mortuary, 6701 N. Jones Blvd. Donations can be made to Noah's House at Shade Tree Shelter.
