

Ronald Earl Leach was born on July 12, 1940 in Dennison, Ohio. He married Sandy Treloar in 1964. His first daughter was born in 1965 and his second daughter was born in 1968. He worked at the Nevada Test Site for 27 years and retired from there in 1998. After he retired he started his battle with cancer in December 2010. He stayed strong each time it came back even through the chemo treatments. The cancer came back 4 separate times. In July 2014 he even survived a motorcycle accident where he was one of the 1percenters. Meaning when he was admitted to the emergency room he only had a 1% chance to live. He was revived twice that night. He fought hard to get his life back, so that he could return to his family and friends. On June 25th his finally battle began. With 2 different types of brain cancer he was not able to fight any longer. He lost his greatest battle on July 23, 2017. He passed away in the evening at Nathan Adelson Hospice. He is survived by his wife of 52 long years, Sandy. His daughters Terri and Jackie, his grandchildren Shanta, Calais, Eddie, Matthew Jr., Clarissa, Savanah and last but not least Miss Kylee. His great grandchildren Amani, JJ, Josiah, and Master Liam. His younger brother Jim and sister Sue, brother in law Brad and his Aunt Tuty. Memorial Services will be held on August 10, 2017 at 2:00 pm at the Boulder City Veterans Cemetery. Military burial will immediately follow. Family requests dress casual to satisfy Ron’s prior request.
