Rosita Melchor Ladia

Rosita M. Ladia, a retired registered nurse passed away November 8, 2017 at the age of 83. She was born January 18, 1934 in the Philippines and had been a resident of Nevada since 1989. She married Roberto C. Ladia on October 21, 1960 and they were married for 29 years until his death, July 23, 1991. Through that union, they had three children, Maria, Rodelle and Robee. After they were married, Rose retired from nursing and became a loving homemaker. Rose was a very jovial woman who enjoyed cooking, singing, playing and winning at the local casinos, traveling, and most of all, spending time with her family. Rose’s smile and her warm heart will be missed by all of those who knew her, especially those who called her “Mommy” and not to forget her dogs, Pepper, Chloe and Mochi. Rose was preceded in death by her parents, Felix and Tomasa Melchor; husband, Roberto C. Ladia; 3 brothers, Isidro, Antonio, and Francisco Melchor; 2 sisters, Iluminada Castaneda and Candida Gadallah; and daughter-in-law, Teyee Ladia. Rose leaves to cherish her memory, her three children, Maria (Pablo) Joya, Rodelle and Robee Ladia; six grandchildren, Marsha Rattler and Christina Joya, Rodelle, Jr., Edda, Christina and Alex Ladia; nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members and special friends. A Celebration of Life will be Monday, November 13th at 4:00pm with a rosary to follow at 5:00pm. The services will be held at Palm South Jones Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd., Las Vegas, NV 89146.
