Sara M Cole-Sims

Sara Marie Cole Sims born to Betty and Willie Cole on April 16, 1923 in Chickasha, Oklahoma. She is preceded in death by her parents, brother Stafford Cole, Lowell Cole and her husband Armstead M Sims. She leaves cherished memories to enjoy by her six children. Stafford M Sims, Rose Otty, Donald M. Sims (preceded in death). Saretta M. Travis, Nash M Sims Sr., Myrtle Russell, Armstead M. Sims Survive by Dorothy Cole, Thelma Cole-Wilson, Rev. Stacy Cole, Wanda L. Wilson, Betty Jean Cole, Gloria Burtons-White, Gregory Cole, Pamela Col Johnson, Twenty eight grandchildren, great grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews.

Sara moved to Las Vegas in 1956 with her husband from Phoenix, Arizona. She found her joy in working in the culinary field as a short order cook. She loved kids and found joy in caring for them at the West Las Vegas Daycare Center, where she worked part-time after her retirement from Caesars Palace. Mamma loved dressing, traveling, planting flowers, wearing jewelry and country western movies. Her favorite pass time was shopping until she dropped. You could always find her sitting in the yard under the big tree enjoying her garden.
