

Seth Steven Blansett passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 8, 2015. For five years he would will his body to “carry on” despite all odds. He was born on May 27, 1956 in San Diego, CA to parents, Seth and Annette Blansett. Seth was the oldest of their five children. He learned a stern work ethic as a young boy helping his father cut a cord of wood every morning before school, and two on the weekends. His father watched to make sure he could build an engine before he could get his first car. He remained a car enthusiast throughout his life partly both of his parents were race car drivers and he spent a lot of time at the speedway. Seth has been an overachiever his entire life as demonstrated by the fact that he bacame an Eagle Scout at age thirteen. His drive is unmatched. He respectfully earned the nickname “The Warrior” which embodies his character. Seth could do anything but some of his favorite things were: scuba diving, sky diving, snow skiing, waterskiing, rock climbing, flying helicopters, target shooting, a gun enthusiast, motorcycle racing, muscle cars, singing, loud music, horticulture and watching Family Guy. No one has ever had a bad or unkind thing to say about Seth Blansett. He is kind and good. He is passionate and compassionate. He is honest and thoughtful. He will be missed by everyone who had the smallest of contact with him. Seth is preceded in death by his father, Seth Seward Blansett, and step son, Don L. Adler. He leaves behind, his wife; Carlen Blansett, his mother; Annette Blansett, four sons; Scott (Jennifer) Cornelson, Ryan (Shelly) Cornelson, Bradley Blansett, Kyle Blansett, two step-sons; Ryan Adler and Max Adler; step-daughter; Ashley (Bryan) Clegg, sisters; Sheree (Bob) Blansett-Calloway, Sandra (Keith) Webster, Sabrina (Graig) Peterson and Suzie Ferguson, one brother; Shawn (Melinda) Blansett, aunt Nita (Vic) Weaver, nine grandchildren; and manycousins, nieces and nephews.
A memorial serve will be held on Saturday March 28, 2015 at 10:00 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 110 50th Street Southwest in Everett, Washington. A Shinto service will be held at the Tsubaki Shrine of America, Seth’s final resting place, located at 17720 Crooked Mile Rd in Granite Falls, Washington at 2:00 that same Saturday afternoon.
