Sheryl Jon Cartrette Brewer

Sheryl Jon Cartrette Brewer, age 70, of Las Vegas, passed away Friday, February 27, 2015. Born August 5, 1944 in Camp LeJuene, North Carolina and was a Las Vegas resident since 1978. Mrs. Brewer taught English in the Clark County School District, most recently at Rancho High School, retiring after 35 years in education. Survivors include her husband of 47 years, Roger; children: Lee Brewer, Michelle King, Robert (Danine Bostock) Brewer, Bill (Jen) Brewer; twenty-one grandchildren; five great grandchildren; parents Myra and Roy “Lin” Mitchell, sister: Claudine (Rich) Grimsdell and brothers: Kim (Karen) Cartrette, Travis (Terri) Mitchell, and Shane (Julie) Mitchell. Funeral service will be held 11am Thursday, March 5, 2015 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 3400 W. Charleston Blvd. Las Vegas. Family will receive friends from 5-7:30pm Wednesday, March 4, 2015 at Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd. and from 10-10:45am Thursday at the Church. NO PERFUMES OR COLOGNES, PLEASE.
