

Siegfried Kurt Ortloff, known affectionately as Sig, passed away on August 10, 2024, in Las Vegas, NV, at the age of 75. Born on December 27, 1948, in Mengen Germany, Sig's life was marked by his warm personality and his distinguished career in the hospitality industry.
Sig's career began in the culinary arts as a chef, where he quickly advanced to become an Executive Food and Beverage Manager. Known for his creative flair, Sig delighted guests with exquisite food, innovative menus, and stunning ice sculptures. His talents even graced the tables of notable figures, including Elvis. Sig later transitioned to a General Manager role, overseeing operations at several major hotel brands. He was revered for fostering a culture of excellence, always aiming to provide the best service to guests and staff alike.
Outside of his professional achievements, Sig enjoyed traveling, driving exotic cars and watching F1 and Indy, trapshooting, fishing, horseback riding and rodeo’s, drawing, watching European Soccer (Fußball), and cooking - activities that allowed him to appreciate both indoor and outdoor activities and experience many diverse adventures.
Sig leaves behind a loving family, including his wife, Debra; children, Eric, Kevin, and Nicole; grandchildren, Isabelle, Ethan, and Adalynn; siblings, Werner and Roland; and his niece, Silke. He was preceded in death by his parents, Paula and Siegfried; brother, Günter; niece, Ines; and his daughter, Samantha.
Services to honor Sig's life will be held at Dignity Memorial, Palm Northwest, located at 6701 N Jones Blvd, Las Vegas, NV 89131. Attendees are welcome to arrive beginning at 9am, with services starting at 10am and concluding at 11:30am.
Sig will be remembered not only for his professional dedication and achievements but also for his kind, generous, creative, loving, and humorous spirit. He made a significant impact on everyone he met, and his legacy will continue to inspire those who knew him.
