Born on February 16, 1959, in Castro Valley, California, Steve moved to Las Vegas at a young age and graduated from Clark High School in 1977. In 1987, he started Sunshine Glass & Mirror, a glazing business that he operated for over three decades until his retirement in 2021.
For 41 years, Steve shared his life with his beloved wife Judy (Knudson) Bleak. Together they raised five children: Curtis (Brittany), Lisa (Ryan), Melissa (Leah), Kyle, and Ashley. He became a grandfather to six grandchildren: Hailey Parker, Dylan Parker, Austin Parker, Hannah Bleak, Cameron Bleak, and Brody Wills.
Steve also leaves behind his sister Sue Thompson (Mike), with whom he shared a close bond throughout his life. He was preceded in death by his parents Warren Page Bleak and Barbara Jean Bleak, as well as his sister Bonnie Weekley.
Steve found enjoyment in the simple pleasures of life. He loved fishing, hunting, creating beautiful gardens, and looked forward to raising chickens at the family homestead in Circleville, Utah.
Steve had an easygoing nature and an infectious laugh that was hard to miss. He enjoyed being around people and brought humor and lightheartedness to gatherings, whether with family or friends he was always a good-time Charlie.
Steve's legacy lives on through the family he loved and the countless memories shared by those fortunate enough to know him. May his memory bring comfort to all who mourn his passing, and inspire a life well lived through life's simplest treasures.
A Celebration of Life will be held on January 15, 2026, from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Palm Mortuary 7400 W Cheyenne Ave Las Vegas, Nevada.
