Steve has hardly left my thoughts since his mom called me almost a month ago.  This is extremely difficult for me to write, for words just don't seem to express how I feel. I have known Steve since he was a baby, and I watched him through his first 12 years or so, growing into a strong, fine boy.  I loved coaching him in baseball.  That's how I've pictured him during these last few weeks, a fine boy with big, dark eyes, and that big, wide smile.  Steve was a wonderful guy and his mom and dad were always--always--so very proud of him.  And perhaps, while on this earth, nothing says more about a young man than the fact that his mom and dad couldn't have been more proud of him. Now, he's standing at the side of his Lord.

I am so sad to find out that one of the greatest people that has crossed my path passed away. Steve was always kind and loving. My thoughts and prayers are with you all at this very difficult time.   It was my pleasure to have worked with Steve and share a wonderful friendship.  His face absolutely lit up when sharing pictures and the events of his children's lives.  I admired his dedication to family and friends.  Heaven has gained a beautiful soul. Steve will be missed!

I worked with Steve for many years and remember his good nature and sense of humor, outgoing personality, infectious smile, and great work ethic.   He was a huge fan of the Chicago Bears and UNLV Basketball, something we shared and often talked about.  He was involved in his children's activities.  Steve's and my daughters attended Studio One and he was always at their dance shows and competitions.  Our heartfelt condolences to Steve's family.

Whether it was starting out as neighbors on Honeycomb Dr. or competitors and friends on the baseball diamond it was always enjoyable to spend time with Steve.  He was easy to talk to and was engaging with all around him.  Our hearts go out to his family.

I'm so sorry to hear about the passing of Steve. I met him in 1975 at West Oakey Baptist church, when we were just teenagers and I can honestly say Steve was one of the "truly good guys." He was caring, honest, fun and a true gentleman. He was a big part of our family for several years. Our families have stayed in contact ever since.
And most importantly he loved the Lord.
I saw Steve last summer for the 1st time in years and was so glad I got to see him.
My heart goes out to his family, Jerry, Joy, Scott, Shari, Debi and the children.
He will be missed by so many.

I am so sorry to hear of this passing.  I will remember Steve attending every volleyball match and taking wonderful pictures and videos of Kristen and the team.  He was such a wonderful person and will be missed by many I am sure.

Steve, you were a good friend with the sweetest of hearts that God ever placed in a man. Your life was the kind that brought the applause of heaven. Your way was examples born out in daily living for all men in raising a family, loving your wife and our God. I shall miss your easy manner of love and laughter. I thank God for the time we spent together on Mt. Charleston or playing church softball, in all pursuits you made life fun. I shall miss you my brother, my friend.
