Susan Loraine Sanderson

Susan was born on March 27th, 1949, in New Rockford, North Dakota to Harold (Bud) and Mary Patricia (Mullen) Haas. She carried her Midwestern roots proudly throughout her life. She later moved to Aurora Colorado, where she created a home to raise her daughters. In the early 1990’s she moved to Memphis, Tennessee, where she married her longtime friend Jerry Sanderson. During those years Susan enjoyed her patio garden and sharing time with her close neighbors. In 2015 Susan and Jerry relocated to Las Vegas, Nevada, where they continued a life of building memories.

Susan found joy in life’s simple pleasures. She loved reading a good murder mystery, playing cards and games with friends and family. Especially dear to her heart were summers spent in North Dakota, in the home where she grew up, surrounded by lifelong friends. Above all else, Susan treasured time spent with her daughters and grandchildren. Being a grandma was one of her greatest joys, and her love for her family was unwavering and unconditional.

She was preceded in death by her parents Harold (Bud) and Mary Patricia Haas.

Susan is survived by her husband Jerry Sanderson; daughters Amanda and Laura; sister MaryAnn; grandchildren, Alexandria, Miranda, Tyler, Garrett, Autumn; great grandson; Everhett; and some of her dear friends that were like family.
