Thangaratnam Thambirajah was born on January 2, 1932 in Punkudutivu, Sri Lanka and passed peacefully on March 12, 2020 in Las Vegas, United States at the age of 88. She lived most of her life in Sri Lanka, raising five children all over the country during times of peace as well as conflict and later emigrated to the United States.
She is fondly remembered for her unwavering calmness and happiness throughout her life, as well as for her kindness and ever present smile no matter what the circumstance or situation. She is survived by her three children, 16 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
