

Theo grew up with his paternal grandparents and an older sister Aleyne in Milwaukee, WI and in the small town of Cherokee, KS. When he was 7 years old, Theo moved, with his family, to Chicago, IL. There he attended Frances E. Willard Elementary and went on to graduate from DuSable High School. He also went on to receive an Associates of Arts degree from Wilson Technical in Chicago.
At the age of seventeen, Theo joined the United States Air Force. He served during the Korean War and in various military roles across the United States until he was honorably discharged in 1973. He achieved the rank of Technical Sergeant and went on to serve his country as a reservist.
Following Theo’s discharge from military service, he worked, in Chicago, in management positions at John Deere, FilmMac, Remington Rand, and the University of Illinois. He was also a property manager in Oak Park, IL.
Anyone who knew Theo, was keenly aware of his tremendous love of music. His interests spanned far and wide with his love of dancing, sports and the arts. He also wrote amazing poems. He would smoothly and passionately sing Frank Sinatra favorites, he loved karaoke and he was a fan of big band and jazz from the 1940’s. He spent one year as a disc jockey, at a local Chicago radio station that was owned by Jack L Cooper, a National Radio Hall of Famer. There he showcased his love and knowledge of the jazz music of the era.
Theo was a hardworking and dedicated employee. He continued to work well into his senior years. He finally retired, for a second time, after 16 years—at the age of 84—from Enterprise Car Rental in Las Vegas, NV.
Theo was married to Rosetta Ambrose (1953-1973). They welcomed three beautiful and loving children Kimberly, Theo Vernon and Rhae. In 2003, he was united in marriage with Nenita Alibania who remained faithful to this union until his passing on October 15, 2024.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and sister, Aleyne Jones.
Theo leaves to celebrate his life, his loving and devoted wife Nenita, three children, Kimberly Marie Daverin of Jacksonville, FL, Theo Vernon (Patricia) Foreman of Atlanta, GA, Rhae Ann Foreman of Silver Spring, MD; a sister Maria Adams (Winfred Harris) of Orlando, FL; five grandchildren, Vanessa Daverin, Arica Blake, Brie DaCosta, David Foreman and Amber Foreman; ten great grandchildren, one great-grandson, and a host of special family and friends.
A visitation for Theo will be held Wednesday, October 23, 2024 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at Palm Mortuary - Northwest, 6701 North Jones Blvd, Las Vegas, NV 89131, followed by a funeral service from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM.
